The Duo
Elli and Roxy met at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and connected on their shared love of dick jokes. They founded an all-female Musical Improv team, The B-Side, that has been performing together for the last 6 years. They always dreamed of writing a pilot together, and then one day in 2020, the world shut down, and they finally had time to sit down and write it. Now, 5 years and countless scripts later, they bring you their most exciting project yet...

Originally from Kauai, Elli swam to Los Angeles (okay,
flew, she’s dramatic) to earn her BA in Multimedia Production. She stumbled across her true love of comedy after diving into improv. Tired of scripts where the only female character says things like “Guys, maybe this is a bad idea,” she started writing her own stuff where women get to be weird, wild, and gloriously unhinged.

Originally from Mississippi, Roxy studied Opera before deciding that what she really wanted to be was an Actress. After moving to LA over a decade ago, and auditioning for hundreds of roles she didn’t really connect with, she decided that what she really wanted to do was be a writer.
